Menjana pendapatan ekstra melalui online survey

Hai...agak lama jugak blog ni saya tinggalkan.

Ok back to my point iaitu menjadi survey filler. Saya mula join survey filler ni pada 24 Nov 2015 so to date baru tiga minggu saya join. So far, saya dah berjaya earn RM40 cash dan RM20 Aeon shopping voucher.

So kene bersabar untuk habiskan jawab survey ni.

Shopping at Lazada: Baby Walker

I made my purchase at Lazada quite often because the price is comparatively lower than offline shop. So far, I am satisfied with my purchase except for one seller who sells counterfeit item that is different from the photo advertised (so beware). The good thing about Lazada is it provides free return if the customer isn't happy with their purchase. To date, I have bought baby diapers, baby toys and baby apparel through Lazada.

I am very pleased with my recent purchase at Lazada. I've been looking for a nice baby walker that has a toy tray for Hayyan's little hands to explore. I visited a few baby shops but the nice one costs all above RM250 (I don't want to spend more on a walker because it will only last for a few months). Later, I browse in Lazada and I came across this one:
I decided to buy since the price stated is only RM169. I applied the RM30 Fatiya Latiff's discount voucher so the total price is RM145.80 including shipping (Lazada gives out discount voucher frequently). After done with purchase, I try to browse the similar model at different sites (I should have done that earlier hehe..) and to my surprise the price there is much more expensive. Check out below:

The price is RM255 in their official website while other sites sell around RM210. I was worried that I am getting a counterfeit product again so I was impatiently wait hehe... Finally, the item arrived after 5 days and the product is similar as in the picture! They delivered it in a proper packaging and in an excellent condition.

I really like it's bright colors and other additional function and features such as rocker, 3-level height adjustable and sitting position, and detachable music tray but most importantly, my baby likes it!!

House tour: Nice and affordable curtains

Curtains are part of home essentials that can be chose from ready-made ranges or custom made. The ready-made curtains normally sell cheaper than custom made. We visited a few curtains shop and made comparison on their price and material quality. We went to Jakel, MK Curtain, Nagoya and Tewah to request for a quotation. Jakel quoted us approximately RM680 for our 3-panel sliding door. The price for the whole house is approximately around RM2,500, same goes to MK Curtain. To be honest, the material for that price range is not worth the money. We can get the cheaper price for the same material at Nagoya or Tewah.

After looking around, we decided to order our curtains from Tewah at IOI Puchong branch. I called up Sri Kembangan branch earlier but they don't sell curtain rail. The branch in IOI Puchong is more like one stop curtain center that provides complete curtain accessories. After choosing the fabric that we want, the shop assistant provides us with a quote. The total price for the whole house except our masterbed is RM900 including railing and workmanship. Well, it's so worth it so we decided to proceed. Finally, the curtains are ready after 1 week and 3 days and it's reveal time hehe..

Here's our sliding door curtain but I think it still needs to be perfected. Maybe I'll put valance later on.

I really love this sheer at our kitchen doorway.

This is the curtain in our son's room, colorful and cheerful.

So if you live on a budget I would like to suggest Nagoya or Tewah. The price is 100% satisfaction assured!

House tour: Our dining hall

House decorating is such an exciting experience yet therapeutic. I chose brown-beige concept for my house so I've been hunting for wooden furniture to complement the look. I and husband finally chose this wooden dining table from Perabot SML, Puchong. We also went to Ikea to purchase the wooden frame mirror to match with our dining table. The Quran frame on the wall is our wedding gift from one of hubby's friends. Check out our dining hall below:

The table looks so empty so I'm thinking to place a table runner to make the table looks merrier. I really like this table runner from Metrojaya MidValley (see pic below). Since the table surface is glossy type, the table runner protects the table from scratch. I'm gonna put a sheer curtain at the kitchen entrance but the curtain isn't ready yet.

Well, there are still so many things needed to complete the look but being budget conscious people, we have to be prudent in our spending. Check out my next post soon!

We finally moved out!

We are now ready to move out of the house so it's time to pack our stuffs and clear all the mess. It's been already five years since I moved to Sunway. Banyak sangat barang-barang dah terkumpul termasuk sampah sarap hehe.. Bila korek-korek balik jumpa la bakul hantaran masa tunang, bantal lama, beg lama, kertas nota masa study, buku-buku dan segala macam barang yang dah tak dipakai. Lepas tu ada la kabinet habuk kayu yg beli dulu-dulu. Letak kat tempat buang sampah pastu tau-tau dah hilang hahah..nasib baik ada orang yang nak tolong ambik. Katil besi lama pun letak luar hilang haha..bagus jiran-jiran kat level ni.

Selepas dah clear macam-macam (including barang yg masih elok tapi jadi pekasam), akhirnya berjaya meminimize kan barang yang nak dibawa ke rumah baru yay! Pening nak bawak segala macam dari rumah lama. Ikutkan hati nak je buang semua barang hehe..Nasib baik tak beli banyak barang masa duduk menyewa. I cakap kat husband nanti kalau nak beli apa-apa make sure harga dia at least RM1k so that sayang nak buang lol.. tapi sebenarnya dalam dilema nak buang barang. Byk sangat brg yang menjadi kenangan, even bantal busuk adik pun berat hati nak buang. Bantal tu la peneman dia study dulu tapi apakan daya, tak banyak space dalam store rumah baru.

Mengemas rumah nak pindah is perkara yang paling malas nak buat huhuu..kami dah 4 hari tidur pukul 1.30am sebab mengemas. Sungguh memenatkan. Minggu ni pun rasanya macam tak sempat nak balik jenguk Hayyan sebab busy nak kemas rumah baru. Rindu sangat rasanya :-( So this month is our last month staying in Sunway. Good bye Sunway, welcome Seremban :-)

Ni storeroom rumah baru yang dah di fill brg2 yang tak dipakai..stack tinggi2..OMG it's so messy and it's an eyesore to me!

Home renovation

We got the keys to our new house in early 2014 but just finished with the renovation after so much delay lol. I am feeling overwhelmed with the idea of travelling from Seremban to KL to work (siapa suruh beli rumah jauh..sigh). I must gather my strength to wake up as early as 5am to get ready for work and travel 150km back and forth daily. After my son was born, we plan to settle down in Seremban because it is more comfortable there; no heavy traffic, no foreigners (currently, we are renting in Sunway).

In our search for the contractor, we managed to get a good, yet reasonable price. The contractor had done numerous renovation works in BSS so they're quite familiar with the area. We have checked on their previous work and the workmanship is quite good. We appoint the contractor to do plaster ceiling, grill, wiring, and installation of fan and lighting. For kitchen, we decided to build the table top first and cabinet comes later since we have exhausted our resources.

Moving on to other preparation, we bought the ceiling fans and lightings from Houses Lightings located in Puchong. I bet their price is among the cheapest in town. We visited a few electrical shops in Seremban to search for electrical appliances. We decided to purchase kitchen hood and hob from Thye Hin and air-conditioner from Hoong Bee. We got a good deal for air-conditioner from Hoong Bee. For Panasonic Econavi 1.5hp, the price is RM1,520 including installation, compare to RM1,650 in Thye Hin. Our next task is curtain hunting.

Here are some of the pictures of our renovated house..these pictures were taken before we clean the house so it's quite dusty.

I'm gonna share my completed house in my next post. *toodles*

Hayyan is 4 months now--How time flies

I gave birth to baby Hayyan on 28 May 2015 after 5 hours of struggle in the labour room. After the doctor broke my water to progress labour, the contraction gets stronger but my cervix still thick and only 6cm dilated at most. I have to push slowly at 6cm. Due to slow labour progress, my baby’s heartbeat has weakened and his head already swollen. I was very tired but keep fighting for my baby until the very last. Finally, Hayyan was born at 3.10pm but I didn’t hear he cries. He cried few minutes after the doctor suction his mouth and nose to clear away any mucus and amniotic fluid. I was overwhelmed with a flood of happy emotions when holding my baby for the first time—it was surreal, wonderful and awesome. That was the moment that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Sleep deprivation is normal during confinement period. I have to stay awake because it was very hard for Hayyan to fall asleep at night—1 am was the earliest. I remember there was a time he slept at 6 am after constant crying. Hayyan cries a lot but I can’t figure out the reason why. I was so worried thinking that he might have an illness and a surge of anxiety that I felt causes me so much stress (but thank god he’s healthy). It wasn’t easy for me to deal with post-partum period.

Today, Hayyan is a healthy and happy 4-month old baby. He loves to express himself through laughs, smiles, gurgles, and coos. He’s now doing more with his hands including grabbing my hair and anything within his reach. Anything that he picks will likely end up in his mouth--he's eager to explore his world. I am so grateful that his developmental milestones are according to a typical timeline like other normal child.

Time flies so fast and the bonding between mother and child will change over the years, but its strength never fades. Romances come and go but once you've bonded with your child, you are hooked for life. This is the real meaning of TRUE LOVE :-)

LAMAZE colourful toys

Sebagai first time parent, saya rasa excited sangat nak beli macam-macam barang untuk baby. Kalau pergi kedai barangan baby rasa nak beli semua baju, toys dan barang yang cantik-cantik. My current favourite is baby toy! Toys Lamaze direka berdasarkan tiga fasa perkembangan bayi iaitu "awakening the senses", "exploring and experimenting", dan "moving and doing".

Yang kat bawah ni nama dia Octivity time. Harga agak mahal which is SGD34.90.

Nanti dah besar diorang campak je bug ni.

Akhirnya, adik saya pick tiga Lamaze toys seperti kat bawah ni.

So excited! *giggles*

Every life is precious

A child is the most precious gift we could ever be given in this life. Birth is beautiful, full of miracle and emotional. Don't despair if you are yet to have a child on your own. I always believe that there must be a reason why god doesn't grant everything that we wish for. Like myself, I had a hard time conceiving too and I eventually conceived after 1 year and 8 months trying. God is great and He knows the best time for everything..

Prawn Cakes with Peanut and Lime Dipping Sauce

I must say I am a big fan of My Kitchen Rules (MKR) cooking reality show. In the most recent MKR Australia show, the one and only team from Malaysia and Singapore, Eva and Debra competing with 3 other finalists to win the MKR title. Eva and Debra entered into sudden death round for 3 times but amazingly they survived! The dishes that they prepared using simple ingredients always win the judges heart. I reckon the taste must be incredible. Here is one of the scrumptious recipes that I would like to try. Yummy! *drooling*

My pregnancy journey (part 2)

Selepas insiden suspect ectopic tu, aku rasa lega yg teramat sangat sebab akhirnya pregnancy aku normal. Aku continue check-up kat Dr Hamid Arshat sampai 5 bulan pastu dalam masa yang sama buat buku merah kat klinik kesihatan. Buat check-up kt klinik gomen free tu yang best. Sepanjang pregnant takde masalah sangat. Cuma masa first 3 bulan tu mulut rasa payau so tak selera nak makan. Term medical panggil rasa payau tu metallic taste. Nasib aku mmg untung sebab takde rasa pening and loya, cuma pagi2 muntah lepas gosok gigi.

Finally due date pun sampai. Patutnya bersalin 20 May 2015 tapi entah kenapa baby nye tak nak kluar sampai la 41 minggu. So doc pun induce pakai belon. Induce pun bukak 4cm je terus masuk labour room. Doc pecah air ketuban pastu dah start contraction. Lama jugak bertarung sampai 5 jam. Akhirnya baby boy seberat 3.74kg pun keluar pukul 3.10pm, 28 May 2015. Fuhh lega….

Ini dia si kecik..

Comel tak saya? baru first time tengok dunia ni. Sebelum ni duduk dalam perut ibu je

nangis pun kuat

aww...that is my favorite smile :-)

btw, nama baby ku Hayyan Rifqy. Hayyan bermaksud kehidupan, Rifqy maksudnya lemah lembut :-) hayyan turns 3 months now.

My pregnancy journey (part 1)

My pregnancy experience has been magical. I and hubby have been waiting for almost 2 years for the baby. After one year trying, we decided to seek for consultation from O&G specialist. At first, we went to see the specialist at KPJ Damansara. To my surprise, the doctor diagnosed me with ovarian cyst on my left ovary. I was stunned. This might be the cause of my inability to conceive. The cost to remove the cyst in KPJ is very expensive so I seek for cheaper place to perform the surgery. After searching around, I finally managed to set an appointment with a renowned Gynae in Malaysia, Dr. Hamid Arshat. After series of appointment, I was scheduled for a surgery to remove the 7cm dermoid cyst. 3 months after surgical intervention, I got pregnant! I was in disbelief!

I have a significant concern on my pregnancy. I had brown spotting for few days after positive UPT. Some source says it resulted from implantation bleeding. Others quoted the possibility of threatened miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. I can’t stop myself from worrying too much. It was excruciating! To confirm on my pregnancy, I scheduled an appointment with a Gynae in Assunta Hospital. The doctor performed blood work and transvaginal scan. Small gestational sac seen. Based on my last day of menstruation, the gestational age of pregnancy is 4 weeks.

We went home after the appointment and the doctor will call if anything goes wrong with the blood work. I was so nervous. What if the hospital number appears on my hand phone screen in the next hour? I can’t bear to hear any bad news after having tough times to conceive. Well guess what, my phone rang. The doctor told me my beta hCG (pregnancy hormone) is too high for 4 weeks! Beta hCG reading was at 4000 which is way too high for early pregnancy! At this stage, the hCG levels should be around 400. It means mine was 10 times higher! Doctor said I might have an ectopic pregnancy and I need admission if the hormone doesn’t doubling in 2 days. The sac that he seen might be pseudo sac and the brown discharge that I was getting might be from rupture of the tube. I spent my days on the weekend crying L

After two days, I came back to Assunta to get another blood work done. The beta hCG was measured at 10,000. The amount has doubled but abnormally high. I was admitted in the same day at Klang Hospital to be monitored closely. My beta hCG keeps increasing like crazy but I don’t exhibit any symptom like cramping or pain but I had brown discharge on-and-off. Finally, the doctor decided to perform laparoscopy to remove my tube. It means I can never get pregnant again because my left ovary is no longer functioning (because of the cyst) while my right tube has to be removed. That was the saddest moment ever in my life. The nurse prepared me for the operation by putting me in OT gown and started intravenous drip. I feel like I’m on death row…

Before entering the OT, the doctor performed final ultrasound scan to see if there’s a positive development. If the sac is developing means I have a viable pregnancy. I keep my finger crossed for miracle to happen. Guess what? The sac looked bigger than before!! And there was a tiny embryo inside the sac!! I feel like I come back to life after been dead. I can’t describe how happy I was, my life is shining like it’s new! I was discharged straight after 5 days in the hospital. I survived my journey through the valley of sorrows…
